I'm not sure that I totally agree with with
this guy's take on parenting - from what he's written, he only lets the child out of his sight when the child iss sleeping. I thought that some amount of alone time is actually a very positive thing for small kids, no?

Well this guy, I gather, lives in a rural area where day-care centres would be scarce. My time spent around an infant [the Atlantan Jake (no relation) Flemming - http://www.mmflemming.com/subpage.htm ] was much more a swapping exercise dad->mom->daycare->etc. The little one loved the variety.
